Lightsail - Ford ranger reveal
The Project
Light Sail VR teamed up with Imagination and Ford Motors to create this unique 360 experience for the world premiere of the 2021 Ford Ranger. Hungry Mantis was brought in to work on advanced post-production for camera shadow and rig removal.
The Process
We were assigned roughly 30 shots to stitch and remove camera rigs/shadows all in the span of 10 days. The 360 drone flew over and under the truck, so maintaining the clarity and details while removing all signs of the drone was very challenging. Much of the action was close to the camera, so multiple stitches were created for rotoscoping and comping back together to remove all visual artifacts.
